As our Basketball Communications Game Night Assistant role will support the Trail Blazers Basketball Communications department, working in a fast-paced environment at all home games. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: preparing materials for the media, working the media check-in desk, recording and transcribing post-game quotes and other projects as assigned.
Day-to-day:
- Providing media and visiting teams with statistical and press content.
- Setting up the media workroom and media seating areas.
- Working the media entrance/check-in desk.
- Recording and transcribing home and visiting player and/or coach quotes for distribution to the working media.
- Distributing box scores and notes to media in-game.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We’d like to hear from you if you:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Customer service oriented with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage specific game night processes and tasks under supervision.
- Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel).
- Curiosity about basketball and knowledge of basketball statistics.
- Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
