Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining clinical sites, student placements and contractual agreements and assisting with securing new clinical affiliations for the nursing program. As directed by the Director of Nursing, oversees and manages operations associated with fostering and maintaining relationships with our clinical partners as well as the development and retention of clinical sites. To include but not limited to making phone calls, on-site visits, conflict mediation, sharing specific course and program learning objectives, record attendance, and facilitating clinical affiliations to ensure experiences are adequate and achieve a satisfactory level of performance. Remains current in the understanding of the applicable program field, through participation in faculty meetings, instructional seminars, collaborative site visits with the Clinical Services Team, and in-service training sessions. Participates in school activities such as faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Maintains contracts between ACC and quality clinical sites, including obtaining renewal signatures, explaining unique requirements of a clinical site, and terminating contracts with clinic sites unable to provide appropriate clinical education.
- Identifies clinical sites that support the student clinical requirements.
- Assists with Identifying and developing new professional medical and nursing relationships for additional/new clinical sites.
- Develops and maintains professional working relationships with hospitals, medical offices, and clinical site directors under current contracts to the schools.
Required Education, Certifications and Licensures
- Bachelor's degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) preferred.
- California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) preferred.
Experience & Skills Required:
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience is required.
