Successful completion of Endoscopy Technician training program within 6 months of hire
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
Shift
Three 12-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with call, nights, weekends, & holidays as required per business needs.
Job Summary
This position will assist the physician (gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, and/or surgeon) in general and advanced endoscopy procedures with a high degree of efficiency; position and transport patients; prepare the procedural rooms using clean and aseptic techniques; maintain supplies and materials; actively participate in goals of the work unit; and demonstrate excellent customer service.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate must be proficient in basic and advanced endoscopy procedures; have direct patient care experience; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; and have experience with materials/resource management.
