The ideal candidate is flexible, independent and thrives in a demanding high profile environment, capable of interacting with all levels of organization, including field/corporate operations teams and field/corporate finance teams.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Resides on the Customer Care Corporate team and acts under the authority of the analytics manager.
- Will be a key interface with the Customer Care field/corporate operations teams and field/corporate finance teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the Analytics Manager with the analysis of industry trends, financial data, customer data and internal performance by utilizing existing resources to capture and evaluate data in the areas of service, parts and collision management.
- Query databases and generate financial reports, traffic reports, pace reports and scorecards.
- Create and utilize forecasting models to determine targeted business results and return on investment for Customer Care strategies.
- Provide ad-hoc data mining, provide guidance and recommendations on measurement and data practices.
- Understand all AutoNation databases, monitor data imports and exports.
- Identify and implement actions to automate reporting and integrate data sources; troubleshoot reconciling issues with the data.
- Analyze market opportunities and take initiative in identifying strategic opportunities to drive revenue, retain gross, and reduce expense.
QUALIFICATIONS (MANDATORY):
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
Advanced math competency and Excel skills in manipulating large volumes of data, summarizing, charting and pivoting.
Experience extracting information by querying large relational databases with detailed knowledge of Access, SQL and VBA.
Understanding of Essbase reporting structure is strongly preferred.
Able to perform ad hoc analysis of financial results across multiple database platforms.
Proven analytical/conceptual skills, able to identify and implement actions to further automate reporting and integrate data sources.
Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, forecasting or business operations.
Able to interact with senior executives with a high level of communication skills to plan, negotiate, and coordinate financial matters.
Must meet Company’s requirements for employment.
QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED):
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
Knowledge of Automotive industry is extremely helpful
