Job Summary

Manages the operations of multiple departments to effectively utilize technology services and provides consultation by aligning business objectives with technology needs that spans multiple IT sub-families.

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. Job Duties:

• Plans, develops, and maintains information technology systems and operations while recommending equipment and implementing guidelines, processes, and procedures according to the mission, goals, and objectives of the college.
• Provides strategic direction, guidance, and training across campus within multiple departments including but not limited to VoIP phones, software, copiers, computers, peripherals, audiovisual and SMART equipment, network connectivity, switches, and security equipment (cameras) and programs (SNAP).
• Serve as the Security Breach Coordinator and serve on the college Safety Committee to maximize technology needs/use during emergencies.
• Responsible for quoting, installing, configuring, repairing/modifying, and maintaining computers, monitors, printers, copiers, software, and related equipment.
• Coordinates network integration of data, voice, and video technologies for academic and administrative use. Provides product and services information and training to the end users.
• Responsible for maintaining VoIP phone system on a regular basis by ordering, configuring, and installing phones, maintaining call queues, configuring operator calling tree and switching the system over to closed for holidays and institutional closings.
• Supervises and provides leadership, direction, training & coaching for all IT staff.
• Serves on construction/renovation teams to assure technology needs are provided which are appropriate to the user and mission of that facility.
• Troubleshoots network connectivity—switches, servers, routers, APs, and wiring.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field), and five years related experience, or equivalent. Management and/or supervisory experience are required. Candidate must demonstrate effective communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills.
