Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisor in scheduling of daily functions of Environmental Services between various programs and facilities.
  • Assist supervisor with the ordering of supplies.
  • Assist supervisor in the development of and maintaining of departmental operating budget.
  • Manage direct reports through observation, timely reviews and scheduling.
  • Continue to maintain assigned buildings or projects as directed by supervisor.

  • Must be able to stoop, bend and climb for extensive periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work from a 5-foot stepladder.
  • Must be able to work around odors, chemicals and extreme temperatures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CARF and state regulations is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Should have 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in an institutional housekeeping/janitorial position is preferred.
  • Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of potential safety hazards of using equipment.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and blood borne pathogens.
  • Knowledge of laundry and housekeeping skills.
  • Interact effectively with staff, patients and supervisor.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal hours and weekends may be necessary.
  • If in recovery, 1 year of continued sobriety preferred.
