Processing Operator (3rd Shift) - Sensible
Basic Purpose
Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains fryer, seasoning, and raw pellet blending equipment, assuring that preset standards for product safety & quality and machine productivity are attained on a continuous basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Processing Operator (PO) works under the direction of the production supervisor and consults the production schedule to determine the item scheduled to run.
- The PO selects the correct formula of processing parameters’ and sets the machine controls as necessary.
- PO will make the necessary installations, and adjustments, and fine-tunes the equipment to comply with the current specifications for pellet quality.
- The PO continuously monitors the equipment in the process area and adjusts as necessary and as determined by supervision, quality control, and management.
- The PO must be able to make independent judgments relative to machine function, use common tools as needed, and communicate effectively with Quality and maintenance personnel.
- Must follow all GMP requirements as they pertain to safety, quality, and food safety
- Ensure Assigned documentation is completed accurately and timely
- The PMO must understand HACCP and Food Safety principles and verify compliance to all Critical Control points and Preventative Quality Checkpoints to ensure a safe quality product is produced consistently.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Equipment and area cleaning as needed. Maintains appropriate levels of mixed raw materials.
Requirements:
- Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate machine parts and controls
- Ability to read and speak basic English
- Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis.
- Must be able to understand and proactively endorse GMP product protection regulations.
- Must be able to work in a safe manner.

Compensation and Benefits:
- New starting wage is $20.50 per hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on a shift schedule.
