Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a to work in our Product Development Department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls / SMC facility with every Friday off. You will report to the
Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Specific Manufacturing Capability (SMC) group is looking for professionals interested in exploring a technical career as a Product Development Manager.
You will lead a diverse technical team of mechanical and materials engineers providing novel solutions to unique survivability challenges. We'd love to have you join our team!
Responsibilities Include:
Managing a technical staff of 10 scientists and engineers to include directing daily assignments and priorities, guiding professional career development and performing annual reviews.
Execution of the SMC Product Development project portfolio supporting daily SMC Production operations and special projects.
Fulfill the role as SMC’s Product Configuration Management technical authority.
Act as the primary technical contact between SMC and the US Army customer.
Responsible for long-range planning to support continuity of SMC production operations and planned program growth.
Coordinating project execution between SMC internal Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Safety organizations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:
- The target pay range for this position is $115,000 - $175,000 annually. The full pay range is $89,652 - $215,160. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
- You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
