Residuals Analyst 

​​Regular Full-Time​ 

Position Overview 

The Residuals Analyst processes residuals payments for assigned shows and is the point of contact for the client through the entire residuals payment process. The Residuals Analyst is expected to be able to accurately review, administer, and analyze residual payments.   

Core Responsibilities 

  • Set up of residual products, which includes:
  • Reviewing talent contracts and identifying the residuals made-for-market 
  • Inputting or uploading talent, and making adjustments (adding buyouts to talent history, updating prior historical payments, etc.)
  • Compile run and revenue/receipts information, distributor statements, and distribution agreements to process residual payments in accordance with Guild deadlines.
  • Maintain working knowledge of union contract residuals provisions, fringes, regulations, deadlines, industry standards, and requirements.
  • Review payee contracts, timecards, and either inputting or uploading residuals triggers.  
  • Create, review, and send residuals invoices, including creating manual timecards if needed.
  • Reissue lost, stolen, and stale dated residuals checks.
  • Maintain client relationships by responding to questions and requests relating to residuals setups and payments in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate records by following residuals recordkeeping procedures.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned. 

Key Qualifications 

  • Experience with residual setups and/or residual payments required. 
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Able to learn and use customized software programs, with basic to intermediate PC skills including Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively towards a goal.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with clients.  
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be local to our Burbank office.  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end processing of entertainment residuals or royalties.
  • Entertainment payroll or accounting experience. 

Special Work Conditions  

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.  
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.The compensation range for this position is:$27—$35 USD
