Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounting operations of our company, including financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance. In this role you will regulate and authenticate financial transactions and maintain a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manager a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax returns.
  • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, preparation of journal entries, analyzing and resolving issues and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  •  Support accounts payable/receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice entry and payments, performing reconciliations
  •  Provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing new accounting policies.
  •  Prepare audit schedules.
  •  Follow accounting processes including creating and monitoring a system of controls, procedures and forms for recording fixed assets and ensure compliance.
  •  Conduct periodic counts of inventory and fixed assets.
  •  Prepare, monitor, and record project contracts related to automated guided vehicles, including analysis of variances and reporting of projects to the Project Manager and Controller.
  •  Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  •  Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and regulations.
  •  Collaborate with other departments to develop annual budget, forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budget.
  •  Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
  •  Manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate completion of the audit.
  •  Provide overall financial analysis and support to senior management, including ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
  •  Supporting the development of accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Special projects and duties, as needed.


Your Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA designation preferred. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP. Your Key Competencies
