The Role
As part of a Holdings agile squad, you will be part of long-standing product where holding and accounting data is acquired, transformed, and distributed. This data is used in trading and investment research and consumed by multiple advisors within the Fidelity enterprise. Core skills needed are Angular, Core Java and Spring Boot
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- B.S in Computer Science or related field. Or another combination of credentials and experience.
- 5+ years of strong experience in Angular, Java/J2EE and Spring Frameworks.
- Spring Frameworks - Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Web MVC, Spring AOP, etc.
- Knowledge on messaging queues like Active MQ or Kafka a plus
- Working knowledge of Angular UI, RxJs, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS is a must
- Working knowledge of SQL is a must
- PL/SQL programming is a plus
- Hadoop, Hive, EMR is a plus
- Working knowledge in AWS services like S3, EC2 is a strong plus
- Experience in Git and CI/CD pipeline is a must.
- Docker and Kubernetes is a strong plus
- Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Very good communication skills with ability to do internal demos and presentations
- Experience with or willingness to work in agile operating model
The Team
You will have two teams: A squad where you concentrate on the what and the when with agile practices. Your squad is led by a business expert and complimented with an agile professional, other engineers, and a quality engineer. You will also be a part of a chapter where you have a larger team of engineers to share good ideas, practices, and solutions. Your squad and chapter are one of many squads and chapters that make up our Data Product Area servicing our Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations business unit.
