POSITION:Summer School - High School Teachers – Credit Recovery Program 

REPORTS TO: School Principal AND Executive Director of Post-Secondary & Alternative programming

POSITION SUMMARY:

High school certified teachers are needed to staff positions at various schools for students in Grades 9-12, in the below subject areas. This program will be in-person.

  • Math (Algebra I, Algebra II, & Geometry)   
  • Unified Arts (Music, Theater)
  • TESOL
  • School Counselor

LOCATION:This program will be in-person. The program will run July 1, 2024 – July 30, 2024, Monday- Friday. Location and hours of employment are subject to change based on student enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut certification in area of instruction. Teacher of record preferred.

Salary and Terms of Employment: Summer school rate as per Appendix D of the HFT contract is $40.00 per hour. No holidays, vacation or sick leave during this scheduled program period. Applicants who cannot work through the entire program due to scheduling conflicts should not apply.

Education & Certification Requirements

Candidates must have a conferred bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and must also possess and maintain the certification and/or licensure requirements for this position as established by the Connecticut state statutes. 

Salary

The hourly rate is $40.00 per hour.
