Primary Responsibilities
- Support caseworkers by providing individually tailored, strength-based, and collaborative case planning services
- Maintain intensive in-home contact, service provision, and therapeutic rapport with families
- Develop, teach, model and evaluate effective techniques and interventions with parents/caretakers
- Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely completion and filing of progress notes
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field with 2 years’ experience providing supportive services to children and their families
- Current NYS Driver’s License and personal vehicle
- Ability to build rapport with youth based on healthy boundaries, effective communication and mutual respect
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgement in decision making
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, patience, and active listening
- Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Services related field with 1 years’ experience providing supportive services to children and their families
