Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, plans, organizes and develops employment practices and resources to meet the staffing needs of NeighborHealth, focusing both on recruitment and retention strategies.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains active recruitment program using all available resources.Plans and carries out recruitment activity for approved vacant positions.Tracks and reports progress of open positions to HR Manager on a weekly basis.Recruitment methods may include paid advertising, direct-mail marketing, schools, job fairs, Department of Employment & Training (DET), flyers/brochures, walk-ins, referrals, etc.
- Interviews external applicants.Ascertains and verifies factual information (such as dates of employment, salary history, education, paid/volunteer experience, military experience, etc.) Obtains information on career goals, job paths, educational directions, accomplishments, work history, work habits, etc. All interviewing is in conformance with Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Interviews internal employees for transfer/promotion eligibility.Coordinates the transfer/promotion process including the salary offer and transfer paperwork with the employee and hiring manager.
- Greets office visitors and conveys routine information to employees and applicants regarding benefits, policies and employment opportunities.
- Must be familiar with benefits packages/policies of NeighborHealth.Discusses benefits with applicants.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reads, understands and complies with all Standards of Conduct, JCAHO policies and all laws related to position responsibilities and employment at NeighborHealth.
- Upholds safety policies, practices, and procedures including safety, fire safety, electrical safety, proper body mechanics and material handling, office/ergonomic safety and other employee safety measures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
EDUCATION:
- High school education required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two to Four years experience in recruitment. Previous employee relations experience preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of human resources laws and practices. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. MS Office Suite experience is required.
