Utility Operator (1st shift) - Sensible
Overview/Purpose:
The Utility Operator assists with transporting full skids of finished product to the skid wrapper for final wrapping.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures correct number of cartons is placed on skid in the correct configuration.
- Provides packaging line with needed quantities of secondary packaging material to sustain continual operations.
- Completes assigned documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verifies and validates the accuracy and legibility of all case code dates throughout assigned shift.
- Follows HACCP and Food Safety principles and verify compliance to all Critical Control points and Preventative Quality Checkpoints to ensure a safe quality product is produced consistently.
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.

- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum six months experience in a Production capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to make simple math calculations and measurements.
- Ability to read and speak basic English.
- Possess manual dexterity to manipulate hand jack and strength to pull +30lbs
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis.
- Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
- Ability to use basic tools and make simple mechanical adjustments.
- Willingness to work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
- Willingness to work independently with minimum instructions.
- Willingness to work some weekends and overtime as needed.
- Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Procedures.
- Maintain records, communicate, and correct out of control conditions.
- Read and understand basic flow charts.
- Wear all required protective equipment.
- Obey all food and human safety rules and regulations.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations.

Compensation and Benefits:
- New starting wage is $16.50 per hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on a shift schedule.
