Responsibilities include creating and teaching courses in your area of subject matter expertise. Class schedules may include day, evening or weekends. Qualifications - Education Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Business Management, with a concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred. Professional designations or certifications in subject matter desired. Qualifications - Experience • 3+ years’ experience in a business/corporate environment at an advanced level. • Experience delivering training/teaching to adult learners desired. Corporate training experience helpful. • Experience with Excel and QuickBooks. • Experience with video conferencing tools. (i.e. Zoom) Qualifications - Skills • Prefer prior post-secondary classroom teaching experience. • Ability to deliver education materials to diverse students. • Excellent communication skills. • QuickBooks certification required, or ability to obtain prior to first class assignment. Position Title Adjunct Instructor - Principles of Accounting I &amp; II (Pooled Position) Job Category Adjunct Range Minimum Position Type Adjunct Department Business Administration Job Summary All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilities include teaching daytime, in person, on campus Principles of Accounting I and/or II and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules include daytime only courses and hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional activities may include participation in departmental initiatives, evidence of academic achievements, recognition by professional and community organizations, and other duties. Qualifications - Education Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in appropriate discipline required. A doctorate and/or licensure in a specific discipline preferred and may be required depending on the discipline. Qualifications - Experience Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Additional job experience may be substituted for a Masters Degree in selected discipline. Qualifications - Skills Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to teach lab courses and/or tutor in learning centers as appropriate. Ability to work with diverse groups of students. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Work Hours Daytime Classes 8am-5pm – in person, on campus.
