Research Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2 positions) The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) School of Pharmacy is seeking to recruit two non-tenure track Research Assistant Professors on 3-year contracts in all areas of clinical pharmacy research as part of the UTEP Regents' Research Excellence Program (RREP). The RREP program aims to enhance the research competitiveness of the UT System and UT institutions. Preference will be given to candidates who will apply their expertise in health disparities in our predominately Hispanic population and utilize clinical settings or clinical datasets. Additionally, preferred candidates will have experience addressing important questions related to population health including access to healthcare, quality of healthcare, medication and treatment adherence, vaccine uptake, and disease prevention studies. Assistant/Associate Professor in Pharmaceutics and/or Pharmacology The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track/tenured) in all areas of Pharmaceutics and/or Pharmacology. Areas of preference in pharmacology include immune system pharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, systems pharmacology, and pharmacogenomics. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Credential from a technical or community college, teaching experience, and work experience in the area being taught.

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years of related teaching/work experience

<li>Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.</li>
<li>Distribute student syllabus at the beginning of the course to define course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance to students regarding course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate all disciplinary issues with administration and Student Services Coordinator.</li>
<li>Coordinate the need for supplies with the instructor and make recommendations for items needed for the program.</li>
</ul>
SPECIFIC DUTIES
<ul>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule.</li>
<li>Start and end class at designated time.</li>
<li>Perform student surveys each trimester.</li>
<li>Participate in regularly scheduled staff climate surveys.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily.</li>
<li>Coordinate necessary absences with VP of Operations and to coincide with student breaks.</li>
<li>Work a maximum of 20 hours per week.</li>
