The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of a Medical Billing &amp; Coding Instructor (Health Information Management Technology) Instructor.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Post-secondary education in Health Information Management, Medical Office Administration, or healthcare related field</li>
<li>Certified Professional Coder, related certification or ability to obtain professional certification</li>
<li>Three years’ work experience in the field of medical coding and billing and electronic health record systems or related experience</li>
<li>Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective instructor</li>
<li>Commitment to utilizing technology in the teaching/learning experience and willingness to stay up-to-date on current and upcoming technology</li>
</ul>
General Duties:
<ul>
<li>Teach all phases of the Health Information Management Technology Program including: customer service, business communications, medical insurance, electronic health records, medical coding and billing, medical terminology and basic anatomy.</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress, maintain student records in the college’s student records management software, maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintain good public relations with related industry and an active advisory committee</li>
<li>Cooperate with outside agencies and supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Other duties include curriculum development, student recruitment, placement, follow-up of program graduates, participation in professional development activities, and participation in student organizations.&nbsp; Some travel is required.</li>
</ul>
SALARY:&nbsp; Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

Tutors work with Disability Services, Writing Centers, Math Labs, and as imbedded peer tutors in certain courses. Tutors are needed for all campuses in a variety of subjects.

Minimum Qualifications:
A student with the ability to communicate and work well with others. Students will need to demonstrate knowledge level by attaching an unofficial copy of transcripts to his/her/their application. This can be cut and pasted from the student’s MyMotlow account or uploaded as an attachment. Students seeking employment in the Writing Centers will also need to attach a 2-10 page writing sample to his/her/their application.
Grades of B or higher are often required in specific courses to be hired as a paid tutor.

Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids. 4. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. 7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in the Civil Engineering Technology teaching field or closely related field and three years’ work experience in the field
