Provides administrative and clerical support to the DSCC Henry County Center.
Working Conditions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

At West Coast University you will have the opportunity to share your success story with the next generation of healthcare professionals as a key member of our student-centered, innovative community!You will make an impact by: &nbsp;<ul><li>Fieldwork Coordination that includes outreach and securing of clinical sites on behalf of students </li><li>Manage spreadsheets of student notes pertaining to clinical fieldwork </li><li>Review evaluations of student/supervisor/site performance </li><li>Editi/track clinical fieldwork documentation for students, sites, supervisors, and programs in the student clinical management system </li><li>Direct students to available resources needed for clinical fieldwork preparation and perform clinical remediation as necessary </li><li>Conduct clinical simulation debriefings with students as needed </li><li>Organize and attend Onsite Immersion experiences that require travel</li><li>INSTRUCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</li><li>Fulfills assigned teaching load in the assigned course(s) and clinical education associated with that course(s). </li><li>Participates in and contributes to assessment activities of courses/curriculum and program via a continuous improvement plan as set forth by the University. </li><li>Regularly contributes to improvement or upgrading of class materials and syllabi utilizing identified University processes </li><li>Utilizes a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students, always with intent to facilitate observable evidence of student fulfillment of prescribed learning outcomes. </li><li>Demonstrates enthusiasm for the teaching/learning process and for individual students.</li><li>Keeps regular approved office hours (for faculty). </li><li>Follows established University protocols for providing timely feedback and/or academic advising (student Letters of Concern, etc.). </li><li>Demonstrates advanced teaching skills as demonstrated by: </li><li>Student evaluations </li><li>Peer evaluations (if assigned) </li><li>Self-evaluation </li><li>Administration reviews </li><li>Evidence of student achievement of course student learning outcomes </li><li>Engages in inter-professional education</li><li>CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</li><li>Clarify clinical fieldwork expectations with students. </li><li>Clarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staff/preceptors. </li><li>Assess student knowledge and skill level to ensure safety and optimal care to patients. </li><li>Utilize conferencing to allow students an opportunity to share learned experiences, ensuring clarity of the correlation between weekly theory content with clinical objectives and experiences. </li><li>Review preceptor’s weekly feedback, midterm and final evaluations of clinical performance and use this information to assign grades for overall performance at midterm and end of semester. </li></ul>Your Experience Includes: &nbsp;<ul><li>Minimum three years of clinical supervision of speech-language pathology students at a clinical site or in higher education.</li><li>Minimum of three years in the field of speech-language pathology, including documented clinical practice.</li><li>Possesses clinical skills to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.</li><li>Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.</li><li>Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area.</li><li>Knowledge of accreditation standards.</li><li>Experience and demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and other relevant software</li><li>Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information and reports and projections.</li></ul>Education:&nbsp;Education and experience must align with state regulations and comply with the rules and regulations of state authorization agencies.<ul><li>Graduate degree with an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences &amp; Disorders is required</li><li>PhD/Ed.D./SLPD in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences &amp; Disorders or graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology with Board Certification Specialty preferred.</li><li>Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). </li><li>Degrees must be awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body.</li></ul>#HEJDo you want a career that allows you to make a difference in other people’s lives?
