POSITION SUMMARY Assist with daily operations of the User Support Services Assist by helping students, faculty, and staff with technology-related issues and questions and by helping computer lab technicians and media services with technology setups.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides Help Desk phone support to the Nashville State community. Answers questions about hardware/software configurations. Performs password resets. Records work in the Help Desk ticketing system. Assists computer lab technician and media services with set up and delivery of technology equipment and services for classrooms, offices, and campus events.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated experience with maintaining and answering questions about technology equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s Degree in technology or related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Proficiency in a variety of computer applications. Excellent customer service skills.
Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies.
Job Duties:
Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required. Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract. Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Complete required College trainings. Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean. Comply with all of the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Ophthalmic Technology. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. Must have certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COT or COMT) by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (active standing). Minimum of two (2) years work experience as an ophthalmic technician. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
