With our work, we hope to understand what makes a vaccine effective, create an implantable therapy for cancer, as well as incubate a startup that will design novel Lyme Disease therapeutics. Furthermore, the organ-chip model of intestinal injuries will help us to understand the molecular, genetic and nutritional bases of the disease and the testing of candidate therapeutics for it. Reporting to the Principal Scientist leading the team, you will support these studies with the potential to become the go-to person for specific aspects of these research projects. You will learn cutting-edge human immunology and organ-on-chip techniques and may also be exposed to gene editing technology. Ariadne Labs currently has research programs in the areas of childbirth, surgery, palliative care, home hospital, and primary health care. Ariadne’s Home Hospital Program is a diverse portfolio of projects focusing on driving advanced care to the home. The team’s largest focus is on acute care at home, or the provision of hospital-level care at home as a substitute for the traditional hospital. The team recently completed a multi-site randomized controlled trial of rural home hospital and a national early adopters accelerator to promote home hospital knowledge products. The incumbent will manage a team of full- and part-time staff members as well as contracted vendor staff who serve Harvard and external community members year-round. Administrative responsibilities include organizational matters such as staff scheduling and management, facility maintenance, assigning, tracking, and completing work orders in addition to other duties. This position reports to the Associate Director of Athletics, Facilities &amp; Operations and provides operational oversight of the physical plant, equipment/heavy machinery, and ensures all areas are properly maintained to foster a safe working environment.Position Description<ul><li>Manage the daily operation and facilities staff of assigned Athletic buildings including, but not limited to scheduling, maintenance, event management, and works closely with the Associate Athletics Director, Facilities and Operations and Assistant Director - Athletic Facilities.</li><li>Supervise Athletics Property Operations Assistants, including scheduling, work order assignments and completion. Schedule and supervise all internal and external service vendors.</li><li>Manage operational budgets of assigned facilities.
