HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Project Manager—Power Systems  

Medford, NY

Pay:$95,000 - $120,000/year (dependent on prior relevant experience)
Bonus: 20% bonus potential

Key qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management or in an industry-related field
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to think creatively
  • Must demonstrate strong decision-making skills
  • Must be highly self-motivated and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism
  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand processes & have the ability to manage numerous projects at a time 
  • Must be able to travel to jobsites and factory tests 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems preferred 

Responsibilities:

Effectively and efficiently manage power systems projects

  • Accurately and efficiently oversee the coordination, procurement, and delivery of products to ensure project success
  • Assure cost control of the assigned projects to maximize profit, including timely closeout
  • Effectively and efficiently schedule the startup service and testing with manager or service department
  • Make site visits and/or meetings as required for customer installation assistance

Effectively communicate and evaluate technical information to customers, vendors, and other H.O. Penn colleagues

  • Review project turn-in for spec. compliance and technical operational viability and cost justification
  • Prepare formal engineering submittals for equipment approval
  • Provide closeout documentation (test reports, O&Ms, as-builts, etc.)

Provide technical information for Electric Power Generation (EPG) processes, projects, and sales initiatives that contribute to growth and development of Power Systems

  • Develop positive, all-win working relationships with Power Systems groups
  • Communicate delivery schedules, control project costs, coordinate projects and approval process with sales representatives and specifying engineer
  • Supply technical information and data to all stakeholders as necessary 
  • Assist with new product introductions
  • Assist sales reps and credit department by providing project information and support for collecting all past due invoices, and follow up on collection of money retained until successful project completion

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management or in an industry-related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Hand coordination (typing and writing)
  • Occasional forward bending and reaching
  • Occasional walking and climbing stairs
  • Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
