Senior Project Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team.  This position is responsible for supporting Middle Market prospects, clients and service teams on projects and initiatives that positively impact Middle Market client onboarding, retention and loyalty.  Through various methods of research and analysis, provide project support for Middle Market solution development and client retention strategies.  This includes development of tracking mechanisms, project plans and post implementation analysis tools in order to ensure the smooth onboarding of new and rapidly growing Middle Market clients.  Lead internal teams on cross-functional projects.  Mentors new project managers on best practices for development and execution of various project plans. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements innovative client onboarding methods and tools, facilitating the most effective and efficient path towards achieving desired results. 
  • Assists with development and management of detailed client projects to include project requirements, time lines and related success factors.
  • Consults client executives and key decision makers regarding their current and future needs.  Advises clients regarding most appropriate systems to implement and implementation strategies.  Uses exemplary diplomacy and listening skills to translate specified requirements to teams.
  • Provides guidance and instruction in the support and management of implementation plans.
  • Mentors entry and mid-level personnel in complexities of Middle Market clients.
  • Schedules and leads regular meetings to ensure appropriate oversight of client related projects and use of internal and external resources.
  • Coordinates tool selection process as needed, including use of third party resources and strategic applications.  
  • Assists COE’s and departments in identifying areas for process improvement.  Applies a systematic approach to recommend or implement solutions that focus on and deliver business results, leading cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Works closely with Middle Market Sales and Operations to ensure the successful onboarding of new Middle Market clients.
  • Continuously improves reporting methods and systems, creating efficient and automated means for gaining data in order to improve client onboarding strategies.
  • Prepares presentations and reports for leadership and internal/external clients.
  • Adheres to the project schedule, solves day to day data/customer issues with minimal supervision and answers questions related to specific implementation project execution. Escalates complex issues and follows through resolution, ensuring appropriate communication to all impacted parties.
  • Maintains outstanding customer service standards to ensure excellent client satisfaction and retention.  Works as a liaison to build excellent relationships with client service providers.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required.  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. 
  • Seven to nine years prior payroll, HR or project management experience strongly preferred. 
  • PHR/SPHR/PMP/CPP Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to apply a systematic method to problem solving. Analyze data and recommend services and strategies that support positive business results. 
  • Knowledge of various disciplines to help identify their application and impact on the client's business.
  • Skills in the areas of project and service management, persuasion, influence, negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution, decision making.
  • Success and experience in execution and deployment of service strategy, including the measurement of client results.
  • Customer service experience in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to lead and develop projects in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to mentor and train newly appointed personnel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate new procedures and processes to team members and to other company personnel, including the expected impact to the client.
