Job Duties:
Part-time adjunct instructor needed to provide classroom, lab, and/or clinical instruction in the dental assisting program.




Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum of Associate’s Degree required. - Must be a graduate of an accredited dental assisting, dental hygiene, or dental program. - Certification Requirements – Must have current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and Healthcare Provider Level CPR certification prior to the start date. Preferred experience to include coronal polishing and radiation health and safety certifications. Total compensation is calculated on a per-course basis according to the WKCTC part time faculty salary schedule.&nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is preferred. 




Additional Skills Requested:
Additional duties include maintaining laboratory supplies; maintaining safety, HIPPA compliance and OSHA updates for dental clinic; maintaining accreditation standards; and some administrative duties.

Job Duties:
Clinical education effectiveness shall be evaluated and ensured through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education centers. The clinical instructor’s responsibilities shall include coordination, instruction and evaluation. Clinical instructors shall maintain current knowledge of sonographic and educational methodology through continuing professional development. The responsibilities of clinical instructors shall not be adversely affected by educationally unrelated functions.




Minimum Qualifications:
1) Proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, instruction, evaluation and guidance: 2) Credential(s) in abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular; and 3) The equivalent of two years full-time professional experience as a general sonographer, cardiac sonographer and /or vascular sonographer. Job Duties:

<li>Establish contact with students early in the semester.</li>
<li>Attend embedded tutor trainings.</li>
<li>Attend planning meetings with course instructor during the first week of classes.</li>
<li>Provide tutoring during class/lab time.</li>
<li>Provide tutoring and other support services as needed outside of class.</li>
<li>Work according to instructor guidance to provide support for students. For example:</li>
<li>Help facilitate small group exercises or discussions such as peer review.</li>
<li>Assist students in learning how to effectively utilize technology such as MS Word, Blackboard, and library databases.</li>
<li>Schedule and facilitate tutoring sessions with students who require additional support.</li>
<li>Serve as a contact between instructor and students.</li>
<li>Serve as a mentor, helping students foster connections with support services, for example, the Tutoring Center.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:
