Job SummaryThe Enterprise Risk Officer – Corporate Services supports the regulatory and operational risk management activities across the Credit Union by providing comprehensive risk guidance (vendor management, regulatory compliance, etc.) related to the various corporate service business units’ activities. This role reports to the VP, Ops Risk Management and supports risk management through developing procedures with effective controls, monitoring and analysis of results, reporting important risk and control issues, and coordination between the Credit Union’s risk functions and the business units this role supports. This role also assists in the development of effective action plans and remediation strategies for identified risk related issues, participates in strategic enterprise-wide projects to drive proactive risk identification and mitigation, and supports the Credit Union’s overall enterprise risk management strategy.Essential Functions<ul><li>Demonstrates expertise in regulatory and operational risk management within various corporate services (Treasury, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, etc.) by developing procedures and effective controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.</li><li>Collaborate with management to establish first line of defense (1LOD) quality control processes across various business units.</li><li>Monitor 1LOD risk management activities performed within assigned business units and use results to elevate self-identified issues to Issues Management.</li><li>Assist corporate services business units in completing second-line required processes, such as third-party risk management, complaint response and analysis, business continuity planning, risk assessments, and issue management.</li><li>Develop and implement internal fraud monitoring programs to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, including conducting regular audits and analyses of transactions and employee behavior.</li><li>Collaborate with investigative teams to analyze suspected fraudulent activities and develop appropriate responses and remediation strategies.</li><li>Partners with departments across the Credit Union, including Compliance, Legal, and the corporate services, to identify and review changing regulatory and operational risk requirements.</li><li>Develop risk and control assessments that accurately reflect the level of regulatory, operational, and other identified risk. OverviewThe Senior Paralegal position supports the legal work of the attorneys in OnPoint's Legal Department. The Senior Paralegal also performs independently to resolve questions submitted from business units and works closely and directly with business units to bring matters to resolution. The Legal Department at OnPoint manages legal and other risks, advises on products and services, interprets laws and regulations applicable to the Credit Union, and advises on other matters.
